Around the Thinking Liberally Universe

The island owner who rented Witchy and I space for our Obama and dress shops suddenly decided to rebuild his island. I can't help but wonder if it was because he wasn't happy about the Obama Storefront--we went a few rounds over it. He's Swedish. I think he called me a bastard.

Anyway we had to move. We are now here. Come get your Obama freebies.

Ongoing, Now through November 14.

Zath's Album Cafe - KT Tunstall, "Drastic Fantastic"
Hailed last year as "a folk-rock goddess" by Rolling Stone, Scottish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist KT Tunstall burst onto the UK music scene in with a stunning solo performance as a last-minute replacement act on the BBC's venerable "Later With Jools Holland" in 2004, and onto the US scene with the unlikely placement of "Suddenly I See"--a song about Patti Smith--on the soundtrack of The Devil Wears Prada.  Join us at the Cafe Wellstone as DJ Zathras spins KT's 2007 release, Drastic Fantastic, which showcases her growing confidence as a songwriter and performer.

Dancing Liberally - Witches, Warlocks, Sorcerers, and Prayer Warriors
It's Halloween and you know Sarah Palin and her Prayer Warriors are hunkered down praying that Obama loses his teeth and gets hemorrhoids. Now, before you accuse me of engaging in hyperbole read what her prayer group did to a witch who worked for Alaska Corrections:
As we continued to pray against the spirit of witchcraft, her incense
altar caught on fire, her car engine blew up, she went blind in her left
eye, and she was diagnosed with cancer.
So let's dress up in our best witchcraft gear and confuse her by offering too many targets. Lindens awarded to those wearing the best outfits. DJ Rocky the Yak-wizard and Jane2 "an improvement on Jane1" McMahon will be spinning the bytes.
