Zath's Album CafeLittle Steven & the Disciples of Soul, Men Without Women

It's Soul Night at Zath's Album Cafe!
With his 1982 solo debut, Men Without Women, long-time Springsteen guitarist Steve Van Zandt wore his Stax/Volt and blue-eyed soul influences on his sleeve, enlisting the Asbury Jukes' horn section and two original Rascals (and, incongrously, the bass player from the Plasmatics).  After spinning this classic Jersey Shore album, DJ Zathras will continue with classic soul from the 60s and 70s and soul-tinged rock and pop, so bring your dancing shoes to the Cafe Wellstone for a night of soul music, and be ready to request your favorites!

6 pm
Russell Live at the Yak!
Wellstoner Russell Eponym (Russell Taylor Ashby) has been playing guitar and singing almost all his life. He truly believes that when it comes to music, a person never stops learning and discovering new horizons.
In addition to performing his own work, he sings a multitude of songs by well-known artists such as Dylan, Donovan, Tracy Chapman and Ralph McTell.
His versatile and accomplished guitar playing and his ability with mandolin, banjo and harmonica create a gig that you simply don't want to miss. Russell's unique sound is characterized by his meticulous fingerpicking style, his soft, lulling voice, and charming British stage presence.
